Therapists needed daily visibility into which clients require follow-up — but the data lived in manual entry and disconnected intake workflows.

// problem

In a residential behavioral-health program, timely follow-up matters clinically. Daily observations existed but weren't being analyzed fast enough to guide the next day's care, and intake data entry was manual.

// users

10–15 direct users: therapists, supervisors, coordinators, and behavioral-health technicians.

// constraints

Sensitive treatment data in a regulated (HIPAA) environment — everything runs on a local network and local-server deployment, not the public cloud.

// solution

Client-analysis dashboards built from daily data that surface clients needing follow-up, plus automation of previously manual data entry and examination/intake workflows feeding structured relational data systems.

// my role

  • Dashboard design and build (Python, SQL, TypeScript)
  • Automation of manual data-entry and intake workflows
  • Relational data modeling and analytical reporting for leadership
  • Working directly with clinical staff to translate care workflows into software

// status & outcomes

In production on the internal network, supporting daily clinical follow-up decisions and process improvements. Details and screenshots are withheld — regulated environment.

// lessons

In clinical settings the dashboard is a care tool: false confidence is worse than no data, so every metric needs a clear definition the staff agreed on.
